Description:
Scientific work is mainly carried out as projects, this generates a bunch of different tasks, roles, and challenges for (young) scientists. To support your position and enable you to complete the projects you are involved in successfully, this workshop addresses the following topics:
- Ideas to tasks: plan realistically
- Possible? Chances, resources and risks
- Cui bono? How profits from my project
- Effectiveness and Efficiency
- Using tools to facilitate your processes
- Encouraging and using creativity
- Project controlling: record progress and allow adjustments
- Taking control of your project
- Documentation: supporting your project by recording, (re)finding and applying
This workshop will focus on a problem-oriented hands-on approach - on day 1 project management basics will be provided and on that basis the participants will identify a problem or (partial) project they would like to address between the two workshop days. Supervised by your trainer applicable tools will be identified so the participants can tackle their individual tasks. Day 2 will focus on how these projects developed and which additional strategies can be applied.
